Product Download

Our products are currently delivered via access through our internet web app and by download.

Downloads from our servers are closely monitored to ensure you are able to successfully access our products. This typically happens instantly but can take as long as 24 hours to process where we are waiting for information from third parties.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

We stand behind our products and your satisfaction with them is important to us. However, because our products are digital goods delivered via Internet download we generally offer no refunds.

By purchasing a HOP report you acknowledge and agree that the digital service is made available immediately and therefore the statutory 14-day cooling-off period does not apply (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

However, if you are a consumer and the hop report is not of satisfactory quality as described then providing we are notified within 30 days we will endeavour to issue a replacement. If this is not possible, we will issue a refund.

Refund requests made after you have downloaded our product are handled on a case by case basis and are issued at our sole discretion. Refund requests, if any, must be made within 30 days of your original purchase.

We are based in the UK. If we send personal information to countries outside the UK we will ensure that there will be a contract in place to make sure that the recipient protests the data to the same standard as the UK. How long do we keep your data?

We will retain records after our business relationship has ended for legal and regulatory purposes for a period of 6 years, after which your data will be securely deleted.

Where data is processed solely for marketing purposes, any information we use for this purpose will be kept until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

  • We will only collect information that we believe to be relevant and required to understand your requirements and to conduct our business

  • As part of the hop service your information may be disclosed to third parties that are related to the sale of your property such as estate agents solicitors or potential buyers and other third party organisations providing services relating to home moving or home ownership.   • We will not disclose customer information to any other external organisation unless we have your explicit consent or are required to do so by law
  • We may be required, from time to time, to disclose customer information to Governmental or judicial bodies or agencies or regulators but we will only do so under proper authority
  • We aim to keep customer information up to date
  • We maintain strict security systems designed to prevent unauthorised access to customer information by unauthorised parties, and
  • All our employees and associates with permitted access to customer information are specifically required to observe our confidentiality obligations.

What are your Rights

Under data protection legislation, you have several rights regarding the use of your personal data as follows:

If at any point you wish to either confirm whether your personal data is being processed and/or access the data we hold on you, you can request to see this information, usually free of charge, and we will respond within a month. 1. Purpose of the Service

1.1 The Home Owner’s Passport (“the Platform”) provides property-related information, documentation, and automated analyses to assist legal professionals in conveyancing and related transactions.

1.2 The Platform is intended as a decision-support tool only. It does not provide, and must not be treated as providing, final legal advice, binding determinations, or regulatory clearance.

2. Professional Responsibility

2.1 Lawyers accessing the Platform remain fully responsible for exercising their own professional judgment in reviewing all documents, analyses, and outputs provided.

2.2 Users agree that they will not rely solely on automated flags, scores, or summaries generated by the Platform when making legal or transactional decisions.

2.3 Users must ensure that any decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on clients are subject to meaningful human review in accordance with applicable law, including the UK GDPR (Article 22).

3. Compliance with Data Protection Law

3.1 The Platform may involve automated processing, including profiling, for purposes such as risk identification and document review.

3.2 Users acknowledge and agree that:

1. Purpose of the Service

1.1 The Home Owner’s Passport (“the Platform”) provides property-related information, documentation, and automated analyses to assist legal professionals in conveyancing and related transactions.

1.2 The Platform is intended as a decision-support tool only. It does not provide, and must not be treated as providing, final legal advice, binding determinations, or regulatory clearance.

2. Professional Responsibility

2.1 Lawyers accessing the Platform remain fully responsible for exercising their own professional judgment in reviewing all documents, analyses, and outputs provided.

2.2 Users agree that they will not rely solely on automated flags, scores, or summaries generated by the Platform when making legal or transactional decisions.

2.3 Users must ensure that any decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on clients are subject to meaningful human review in accordance with applicable law, including the UK GDPR (Article 22).

3. Compliance with Data Protection Law

3.1 The Platform may involve automated processing, including profiling, for purposes such as risk identification and document review.

3.2 Users acknowledge and agree that:

(a) they act as data controllers for their clients’ personal data when using the Platform;

(b) they are responsible for ensuring that their use of the Platform complies with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and any other applicable laws;
